What is a Dental Cleaning?
At a dental cleaning, we remove stains, plaque, bacteria, debris, and tartar to thoroughly clean around your teeth and gums.
How often should I do it?
We recommend dental cleanings at least twice per year.
Why is this important?
Regular dental cleanings prevent the buildup of plaque and stains. Dental cleanings are the first line of defense against periodontitis—aka gum disease. Studies have shown a link between gum disease and cardiovascular disease—a healthy mouth is a healthy body!
What is a Check-Up?
At a check-up, we will evaluate all of your teeth and gums, screening for decay, gum disease, and oral cancer.
How often should I do it?
We recommend check-ups twice per year.
Why is this important?
Regular check-ups allow us to catch and treat problems early—or prevent them entirely.
