Dentures are removable prosthetic devices that stand in for missing teeth. Colloquially, they are known as a set of false teeth.
There are several types of dentures to consider: Partial Dentures, Dentures, and Implant-Supported Dentures:
Partial Dentures
What is a Partial Denture?
A partial denture is a removable appliance that clips onto a patient’s existing teeth. Made from Valplast®, acrylic, metal, or a combination of these materials, we are able to make partial dentures that look very natural.
When would I need a Partial Denture?
If some of your teeth remain in good condition, and fixed bridges or implants are not an option, a partial denture can provide a good solution for missing teeth.
Denture
What is a Denture?
A denture is a custom-made, removable appliance for patients in which all the teeth in the top or bottom arch are missing. Made from acrylic, we are able to make dentures that look very natural.
Implant-Supported Dentures
What is an implant-supported denture?
An implant-supported denture is a combination of implants and partial dentures. If all the teeth in the top or bottom arch are missing or must be removed, we can add two to four implants, then create a prosthesis that clips on to these implants. Compared to using dentures alone, the combined use of implants vastly improves chewing capacity and comfort.
