What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a set of clear, custom-made, removable trays that gradually straighten your teeth. Unlike with braces, brackets or wires are not involved and they are practically invisible, making Invisalign the adult solution for a crooked smile.
What is the process for Invisalign?
After an initial consultation in which we make sure that Invisalign is the right choice for you, we will make a digital, 3D model of your teeth. This model will act as a blueprint for your treatment, providing a step-by-step guide for your alignment journey. After this plan is complete, we will create your unique aligners. As your teeth straighten, you will graduate to a new set of aligners every one to two weeks. As an Invisalign patient, we will see you every 30-45 days to ensure that your teeth are aligning properly.
How long does Invisalign take?
Most of our patients complete their Invisalign journey in under six months, though each case is different. Some patients achieve their goals in as little as 50 days, while others need a year to achieve the desired alignment. While you may be drawn to Invisalign for its removable trays, overall duration will depend on the amount of time you actually wear your trays. We recommend wearing the trays for 20-22 hours a day, removing them only for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing.
